Weimax Wines & Spirits is one of the historic shops on Broadway. It was founded in 1961 and the same family still manages what is a "must visit" for wine lovers in the Bay Area. The crew at Weimax are all wine-lovers and knowledgeable about wine. Featuring taste-tested wines, the store is crammed full of great, often hard-to-find selections from not only California and the Pacific Northwest but Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, as well. You'll find top spirit selections as Weimax offers celebrated, famous brands, but also exceptional artisan distillers. And you can find some unusual beers, as well. There's even a wine tasting room in the shop, so you can come explore a few wines "first hand" (or first palate)! And the prices are customer-friendly, too. The shop is open Mondays 9-7, Tuesday through Saturday 9-7:30. Closed Sundays and most major holidays.
